Firebase Analytics tracks your app’s events. Auxia doesn’t connect to Firebase directly: you switch on Firebase’s export to BigQuery, and Auxia reads the exported tables with the self-serve Google BigQuery connector.

Features

Setup at a glance

1

Turn on Firebase's BigQuery export

In the Firebase console, link your project to BigQuery and turn on the Google Analytics export. Choose daily export, and add streaming export if you want intraday tables. See Google’s guide: Export project data to BigQuery.
2

Turn on change history for the export tables

Auxia reads new rows incrementally, which needs change history enabled on each table:
3

Connect the dataset with the BigQuery wizard

Follow the Google BigQuery setup guide and select the Firebase export dataset. Auxia recognizes the Firebase export format, so events, timestamps, and user properties are mapped automatically.
Firebase finalizes each daily table a few days after the fact, so Auxia waits for it before reading. For background on daily and intraday tables, see the Firebase setup guide.

Limitations

  • The Firebase export to BigQuery must be switched on in your Firebase project.
  • Freshness follows Firebase’s export: daily tables are finalized with a delay, and intraday tables are only available with streaming export enabled.
  • See Source data requirements for requirements shared by all connectors.
